SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

The November 20, 2021 Sweet Treat Express in-person event has been CANCELLED. However please be sure to check out the Friends of the Chesapeake Beach Railway’s Facebook posting for fun instructions on how to construct your own personal train-themed sweet treat!  We look forward to seeing you in-person next year!

The 2021 CBRM events are currently tentative and subject to change and/or be canceled due to restrictions related to the museum renovation or the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Maryland Heritage Area Authority/Maryland Historical Trust, and support from The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners, the Friends of CBRM, the Town of Chesapeake Beach, and private donations, the museum is undergoing a complete transformation. A new permanent exhibit is being created, the old depot is getting a thorough scrubbing, new paint, and refinished floors, and the Friends are planning exciting new opportunities for members. This website is part of our new look and we invite you to explore the rich story of the founding of the railway, the amusement park, and the Town of Chesapeake Beach.

We invite you to join the Friends of the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum, a group that supports the museum through volunteering, advocacy, and fundraising. And mostly, we want you to watch for updates.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

All Aboard!
