Celebrate National Train Day with us!
Join us at Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary for a guided tour along the old Chesapeake Beach Railway Right-of-Way. Explore the remains of the original railway bed and view the drawbridge pivot that was once used by the railway.
Meet at Jug Bay at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 13th.
Parking is limited so please carpool if possible. (Entrance and parking fees will be covered by the Friends of the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum.)
The museum is open April – October 2023, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Maryland Heritage Area Authority/Maryland Historical Trust, and support from The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners, the Friends of CBRM, the Town of Chesapeake Beach, and private donations, the museum’s new exhibit has been completed. We invite you to join the Friends of the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum, a group that supports the museum through volunteering, advocacy, and fundraising. And mostly, we want you to watch for updates.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
