Volunteering at CBRM
We are delighted that you have expressed an interest in volunteering for the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum. The Museum was started many years ago by a dedicated group of volunteers who wanted to preserve the fascinating history of Chesapeake Beach, the railway and the amusement parks. Come join us in telling this wonderful story and continue the tradition. Some of the benefits of volunteering include: the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends, being part of a wonderful volunteer family as you serve your community, learning new things and participating in exciting events.
- Station Master – Volunteers who are Station Masters are the cornerstone of the museum. Station Masters greet visitors and make them feel welcome. They share their enthusiasm with visitors and find new friends!
- Programs – There are a variety of programs that need volunteers. Our annual programs are always in need of volunteers to assist with activities for our Spring and Fall Family Fun Days and our children’s programs. Seasonal community events such as the Sweet Treat Express and the Polar Express Reading, site cleanup, gardening, and CBRM’s model train display are other ways to help the museum with your volunteer spirit.
These are just some examples of the volunteer opportunities available. There are many different ways to become involved in the museum and you can volunteer once a month or once a year! Please fill out the Prospective Volunteer contact form below. Thank you!
